One of my favorite places to hang out in Ann Arbor. Definitely best selection of whisky and scotch. Well kept pool tables and attentive staff.

I already love Babs, and perform there every Wednesday night. Now with their new drink menu and snacks, I find myself there 3 nights a week.

Unique multi-level lounges with comfy booths and a bigger area for pool. I'm not into the crowd though. Younger groups gathered Saturday night and it got too loud to have a conversation, even at the tiny table for two.The drinks were a little expensive and not the greatest but the atmosphere was nice.

Great atmosphere, but it's hard to find

Babs is a really nice speakeasy in Ann Arbor. While it is not a sports bar, they will usually show the game on the TVs or some other shows. Overall the drinks are tasty, and the service was great even while it was packed. Waiting for pool took awhile, but it was also Friday night.

Great staff, good regulars, and an amazing selection of drinks. Worth a visit, even once. It's hard to be disappointed here.

Many fancy drink selections as well as the usual bar offerings. A bit dark since it's a downstairs establishment, but it creates a very nice mood. Pool tables (which can be hard to find in Ann Arbor) and a shuffleboard table. TV's are around but not overbearing. Maybe a little pricey for some drinks, but an overall great place. Find it & try it.

Cozy, up beat atmosphere. Wonderful bartenders and wait staff with a well stocked bar. Just shy with sitting, but it is a small venue, so. Never a dull moment when I visit here, also a very diverse crowd ( background & age)

Been here twice and both times it has taken so long to get a drink. Despite that it's still a great bar

Babs is one of the places to be in A2, you go there to have good drinks, with good people, and have a good time. They have a few pool tables to use if you're trying to get some group activity going, and arcade machines if you're looking to solo play to flex on your friends.The music is never too loud, so you're free to converse with your friends without having to scream at them.

Great place for a drink and some hanging out time. Moscow Mule is a go-to, for sure. Play pool, drink beverages, have fun.

This a really cool place, it’s kind of hard to locate but once you find it you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The last time I went they had a great blues band playing and it added to our overall experience. Anytime I go to Ann Arbor this a bar I want to go back and visit.

very hip underground space with great cocktails. large area with pool tables and a photobooth. The ATM is currently out of order. highly recommend for a larger group for an intimate setting.

Awesome bar that is very easy to miss b/c it's basically a giant basement. I enjoyed having a few drinks and hanging out here. Drinks were fairly priced and atmosphere was ambient that left me very impressed. A+ bar

Perfect place to wait out post game traffic. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the balance of rich interior features with a relaxing mood.

Visiting friends in Ann Arbor and they brought us to Bab's after dinner. What a great surprise. Descending down stairs in an office building to a non-descript entry door and entered an underground world of fun. Unique space with stone walls, pool tables and pinball machines complete with awesome drinks. Great way to finish an evening in downtown Ann Arbor. Bab's is a hidden gem worth discovering.

Saved the day!After a horrible experience elsewhere, we retreated to Babs. Within 2 minutes we had drinks. Within 5 we had food. Just the best place!

Ann Arbor's premier sh*thole college bar. So many great memories there from college and it's still the same as I remember! Went there to celebrate and reenact old shenanigans the night prior to college buddy's wedding, still the best spot in town at 1am 😭😂

Excellent atmosphere and great drinks with great people

Nice place to hangout and play pool. Attracts mostly a younger crowd. Nice choice of drinks. Can get pretty busy in the evening, though not overcrowded to a point to where it's uncomfortable.

A great underrated venue that provides great drinks, entertainment, eye candy and efficient service.

$6 for an hour of pool which we liked it! The table organizing girl was super nice and very fair! Will come again to play some pool later. The bathrooms we're not that clean though.

Decent place on the upscale side. Overpriced drinks but a friendly staff and the pool tables were free.

Babs is hit or miss for me. If you can get there before the drunken college kids, it's a pretty nice, cozy spot to play pool. The cocktails are good, but I wouldn't recommend going after 10 if you're actually going for the speakeasy feel it originally comes off as.

Everyone asks for Josh for good reason. He's really passionate about what he does. Twas a wonderful evening in the great city of Ann Arbor. A semi large group (medium size) of us met up for some drinks. Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted by a very hotel esc feeling as we descended down the green carpeted stairs into the underground lair that was Babs underground. As you enter you are rushed with the feeling of this is like a secret place, but it isnt. In a good way. There are pool tables, shuffle boards, and arcade games to wet the whistle of those activity enthusiasts. When you go towards the bar, the area surrounding has a totally different feel. As if you are in another world. Plenty of seats to socialize, and spread out and enjoy the company of others. The staff is friendly and care about what they are doing. The bartenders ensure the drink or cocktail you order is almost a work of art. 9 out of 10 people would recommend this place as a fairly casual place to hang out, have a drink, shoot some pool, have a good time.

Pool and shuffleboard! I don't drink, I was just there handing out with friends after a late night of work. We had a blast playing shuffleboard and listening to music!

Shirley was very energetic and ready to socialize and help people. Troy should not work the bar. I only asked names because of both of my experiences and the fact that he was not friendly.
